The Top 5 Best Simpsons Games of All Time

The Simpsons games haven't had good luck for some reason and Simpsons fans agree that most of the games weren't that good. However, a few are definitely worth trying. Here is a list of games we think every Simpsons fan should pick up:

5. Virtual Springfield

Virtual Simpsons
A GTA style virtual sandbox where you can walk anywhere and talk to anyone in the Simpsons world, what more could you ask for in a Simpsons game? Though there are no objectives or even a storyline in this game, you can collect cards hidden around the town and play some games in the arcade. A very accurate version of Springfield's map definitely makes this one Simpsons fans need to check out.

4. The Simpsons Pinball Party

Pinball machines may not be so popular these days but the Simpsons Pinball Party was a really fun pinball game that came out in 2003. It was made by Stern Pinball. The game features one of the most complex rule sheets that were ever designed for a pinball machine. It includes various modes, and multi-balls on top of each other. There is also a "Super Duper Mega Extreme Wizard Mode" which requires an unusually large number of shots to be achieved.

3. The Simpsons Bart's Nightmare

Bart falls asleep while studying and is taken to a crazy adventure of his imagination. The game takes you all over Springfield where you take on other Simpsons characters such as Lisa and even Homer Kong, where you fight on top of the Springfield State Building. You also get to play as Bartzilla, Bartman, Indiana Bart, and other forms.

2. The Simpsons Hit and Run

A very underrated game, and can last a while if you want to collect everything. It's pretty much the best Simpsons game of all time in my opinion, but many would say that Simpsons Arcade is still more fun. Some call it a "GTA Clone", but in my opinion, that's a good thing.

The game allows you to play with each Simpsons character in the family, and each one has their own storyline missions. While you aren't doing missions, you can go exploring and find all the different collectible items scattered throughout the levels.

There are secrets scattered around the levels as well, in the forms of collectible items which have notes from classic episodes. Lastly the graphics were done very well, and it is pretty much the best looking Simpsons game to have been released so far. Pick this up if you are a GTA fan and a Simpsons fan, you won't regret it.

1. The Simpsons Arcade Game

I can bet that a lot of people who checked out this article, probably already knew this game would be at the top. It really deserves the spot, because this Simpsons game still lives on in many peoples memories even though it was originally released back in 1991. The game is a beat 'em up in the style of "Streets of Rage".

It allows for up to four players to play simultaneously. Something about it made it a cult classic with Simpsons fans, and the game was later ported to the Commodore 64 and PC. A version was also made for the iPhone but the plot and the general level layout was altered from the original.

Well there you have it, our opinion here at GR of the 5 best Simpsons games made so far. Hope you enjoyed the list.
