According to Gearbox, the real-time strategy series is getting some HD remakes.

After Gearbox acquired the IP for $1.35 million in April, they confirmed that it planned to re-release both Homeworld and Homeworld 2 on digital platforms. The Relic Entertainment-developed Homeworld was initially released for Windows PC in 1999. The sequel, Homeworld 2, launched for Windows PC in 2003.

Both games will be available through digital distribution on the PC, but no current release date it known.
