The Elder Scrolls Online Won't Be A Repetitive Grind Says Dev

Zenimax Online Studios has announced that it is determined to keep The Elder Scrolls Online from becoming another repetitive MMO grind.

Speaking over at the MMORPG.com forum, creative director Paul Sage said, “I don’t know that I agree with your assessment about it being a grind, because I enjoyed the hell out of Skyrim crafting.

“That said, we are doing things to not make it a grind, by which I mean not repetitive activity with little degrees of success, but understand some people define ‘grind’ very differently. A lot of people like low-key activities they can do while they socialize in the game. We want to make sure to have those in the game as well.”

This is great news, it seems like many MMORPGs these days turn into endless grinds, I think one of the biggest reasons is because they all try to be like WoW, instead of trying something new. And people have already played WoW. We don't want another WoW, we want something new and unique!

The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to be released Spring 2014 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and OS X.

What do you guys think?
