Halo 5: Guardians was revealed on May 16, and since then, there has been a lot of speculation about the game. Development Director Frank O'Connor provided some new details on NeoGAF about the game.
He mentioned the new engine that will power the game, and how it contains a small part of the original engine as its core:
"The things at the core are vital, but a tiny fraction of the overall engine footprint. It’s a new engine. Not an iteration or a rendering evolution.
It’s a new engine."
He also mentioned that this time around, we will have some strong female characters:
"There will be plenty of strong female characters in the game, but that is not a picture of one of them."
We should be getting a lot more new information about Halo 5 guardians next month at E3, starting on June 9.
