Ubisoft Giving Out Free DLC, and a Free Game as Assassin's Creed Unity Apology

Ubisoft Giving Out Free DLC, and a Free Game

Since Assassin's Creed Unity launched on November 18, players have been experiencing a lot of bugs, glitches and crashes (including one that's caused by adding friends to the in-game social list) that have impacted play. Today Ubisoft apologized to those who have purchased the game by giving out the upcoming Dead Kings campaign and a game for free to those who have the Season Pass.

Anyone who has bought the season pass will receive a free Ubisoft game from a list of titles which include: Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, The Crew, Just Dance 2015 and Rayman Legends. Below is the note from Ubisoft CEO Yannis Mallat regarding the bugs and glitches in Assassin's Creed Unity.

"Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues," Mallat writes. "I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.

In addition to the latest patch and this offer, we are committed to delivering further fixes for other issues you’ve raised. In the meantime, please keep your feedback coming – it has been both humbling and incredibly helpful as we continue working hard to improve the overall quality of the game. We are hopeful that with these forthcoming updates, everyone will be able to truly enjoy their Assassin’s Creed Unity experience."

Ubisoft has also announced an upcoming update to the game, called Patch 3 which is currently in the works.
