A trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was shown during the Nintendo E3 press conference. The game will be the next installment in the Legend of Zelda franchise. The game features a new control scheme which utilizes the MotionPlus peripheral which results in more direct swordplay. It also uses the Nunchuck for better shieldplay.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword also includes new items such as a remote-controlled beetle which is used to collect objects which are far away, as well as a whip which has the same function.

Nintendo has announced that the game will be released some time next year.
