The Nvidia Shield is an upcoming Android-based handheld game console made by Nvidia which was first announced at CES 2013 on 7 January 2013, the console will be released in North America this month. The Nvidia Shield allows for streaming of games running a compatible desktop or laptop PC, this allows certain Windows games to be played via the SHIELD, similar to Sony's Remote Play.
