The 1.0.5 update for GTA Online has arrived along with the $500,000 stimulus package from Rockstar deposited directly into players bank accounts. The update focuses mostly on fixing bugs, check out the patch notes below.
GTA Online 1.0.5 Patch notes:
- Built in measures to prevent users from losing their progress when there is a cloud outage
- Built in a number of measures to protect players’ cash balances even if there are network problems
- Fixed an issue where on rare occasions during network problems the player could lose their Online vehicle or mods after exiting GTA Online
In addition to the patch, today Rockstar is depositing $500,000 into every GTA Online players bank accounts. If you have not gotten your deposit yet, give it a few days for it to arrive.
Rockstar has also announced upcoming content for GTA Online, outlined below. Note, both the Beach Bum Pack and Content Creator will be free of charge.
- Beach Bum Pack - This will be the first add-on content update for GTA Online which will be released soon. It will include all-new beach themed vehicles and new weapons that you will be able to use both in GTA Online and in story mode. Also, new customization options for your GTA Online character, including tattoos, hairstyles and more will be added.
- Content Creator - According to Rockstar, the content creator which gives players the ability to make their own deathmatch and race jobs, is scheduled to launch this fall.
- Social Club Event Weekends - "Starting in November will be the first Grand Theft Auto Online Social Club Event weekends which will bring special rewards and bonuses ranging from limited-edition in-game Event Crate Drops to in-game discount specials and even a special new GTA Online live-stream show hosted by Rockstar at the Social Club Events page and Rockstar Games Twitch page – plus prize pack giveaways of hard to find GTAV gear and more."
- GTA Online Heists & Capture the Flag - Rockstar has also announced that they will soon have more information about the upcoming GTA Online heists, capture the flag game mode as well as other additional story mode and online content.
