Kojima Hints at PC Version of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

While Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has only been confirmed for consoles, Hideo Kojima has shown interest in a PC version as well.

Kojima told Gamespot:

"PC, that's my original background. I originally created PC games," Kojima said. "A long time ago I didn't want to rely on platforms to release games, so if people want it, I cannot make a formal announcement, but that is definitely something that I would like to do."

The predecessor Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots did not come to the PC, but the 2013 spinoff Metal Gear Rising Revengeance did, after 11 months of the game originally being on consoles.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to The Phantom pain, is set to launch March 18 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
