E3 Announced PS4 Exclusives Will Arrive In First Half Of 2018

Although Sony's E3 2017 showcase was shorter this year than usual, they showed some impressive titles. God of War, Days Gone, Spider-Man, and Detroit: Become Human were all announced and given a 2018 release window.

Shawn Layden, president of Sony Interactive Entertainment America, said that Sony is aware of the criticism for this years E3 presentation, and noted that all of these games are less than a year away at most.

"To be honest, we're already halfway through 2017, and that's the nature of game development. No, I feel the lineup we have coming into the holidays this year – and Gran Turismo will launch in the fall – I don't know if you got to go to the pre-show [hands on event for media]? Well GT was heavily represented there on the floor. We think there is a lot of attention around that title from our company."

And although no games were mentioned for the rest of 2017, Layden confirmed that the exclusives shown at this years E3 will launch in the first half of 2018.
