Titanfall producer Drew McCoy has stated that he wants Titanfall to be unique compared to other games, and that most games these days just "retreat to old ground" without trying something new.

"When we started on Titanfall, we had a couple main goals we really wanted to achieve. First and foremost, we want something fun. There's so many games now that are just retreading old ground. We really wanted to do something that was so fun and unique that we couldn't put down ourselves."

Well from what we've seen so far, it looks like Titanfall will be unique and fun (not many mech games around!), but obviously we won't be able to tell until we play it! Titanfall will be released Q1 2014 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
